Duška Tješić-Drinković is Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Zagreb – School of Medicine with substantial teaching experience in graduate and postgraduate studies and serves as the Pediatric Course Coordinator for Medical Studies in English. She is a consultant pediatric gastroenterologist and hepatologist at the University Hospital Centre Zagreb and the Head of the pediatrics’ team within the Cystic Fibrosis Center for Children and Adults at UHC Zagreb.
Her main clinical and scientific interests are pediatric nutrition, malabsorption, cystic fibrosis and functional disorders. She is the co-author of 10 national guidelines and recommendations in the field of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition. She published a significant number of peer-reviewed scientific papers and other publications and co-authored several medical textbooks. She is the organizer and faculty of numerus national continuing medical education courses and regularly participates as speaker, presenter or moderator at national and international meetings.
She served as a consultant on behalf of the Ministry of Health-Republic of Croatia in the field of breastfeeding promotion and children nutrition and was engaged in local UNICEF preventive programs. She is the coordinator for the Croatian Cystic Fibrosis Patient Database and national representative of Croatia contributing to the European Cystic Fibrosis society Patient Registry (ECFSPR).
She is the Board member of the Croatian Society for pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition (HDPGHP) and served as the President of the Society in two mandates. She is the member European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) and the European Cystic Fibrosis Society (ECFS), where she serves as a member of the Steering Committee of the ECFS Patient Registry and a member of the ECFS Diagnostic Network Working Group.
